Regrigerator isn't cooling - freezer is fine....

Hello Teresa, this is JK. I understand that the freezer is not cooling properly. Is the compressor running? Is there air movement through the grille at the rear of the freezer? Is there warm or cold air coming from the louvers? Can you remember any odd functions prior to this issue? If you can think of anything in particular, please feel free to reconnect and maybe it's something I can help troubleshoot. Best regards,

check the drain hose in the rear area for breaks in the hose or maybe plugged up with mold in the drain line and not able to drain to the lower pan near the floor

i have a side by side refrigerator is all ice bihind the cover evaporator

Sounds like a defrost problem. Check to see if there is any frost buildup in the back wall of the freezer. If so, it is not defrosting as it should.

• possible causes:

1. bad defrost timer
2. bad defrost heater (in freezer)
3. bad thermo switch in freezer

If you don’t know what these are then unplug the machine and let the ice melt in the freezer overnight with the door open. Then try it the next day, if is cooling fine then you need to have a service person replace one of the above items.
