I have inserted a brand new cartridge in the black toner cartride at the top of the printer and the caveat of "Replace supplies" comes up with the last square on the left bottom darkened. Please help! ! Thanks
The problem is that HP has a bad printer here the cartridges are cheeply made very cheeply made which is surprising coming from HP, the problem is that the cartridge is BAD. sorry but it needs replacing, return it to the store you got it from if you can and get a new one, or if you cant then take it to any one of the huge number of refill places like cartridge world. have them test it and repair the problems with it or even replace it.

Are you using Xerox or aftermarket compatible ink stixs? I have seen aftermarket ink stixs ruin these machines. You can go to Xerox website and find information on running a process to hopefully clear up the "cyan" or blue printing problem.

I just replaced the black ink cartridge and the printer repeatedly says "Replace Supplies" with the black ink icon on the screen lit up. After repeatedly taking it out and putting it back in, it still says "replace supplies". The ink cartridge is HP brand, not recycled and is brand new.
