I need help i purchased an i mate pda2k through the internet and it was working well for three months until it fell down and broke the touch screen,when i put the phone on it indicates that the screen needs to be aligned but i'm failing because the touch screen is damaged so i need help to align the screen maybe using the keys because i desparetly need to use it.thank you in advance.
Yes dear its so easy....install "my mobile" software on your pc and attach ur PDA to it...and then ur mob screen shown on ur PC where u can easily align ur screen using ur mouse ..reply if need more help at [email protected]

To install softwares you need a computer installed with microsoft active sync 4.0 and above.This enebles your phone to communicate with the p.c.
Then, i believe you posses or may need to purchase pocket pc softwares that are compatible with windows,and these range from games to even GPS software all for your PDA.These softwares are available online.
Reset your phone! and if you dont mind loosing your information run a complete reset.Then do a screen re-allignment.
To avoid a future re occurence avoid placing your phone in your tight jeans pocket so that you don't apply pressure to the screen.

If have already white strip on the screen, and some colour pigments are presently shown. You should not panic. Just bring your pda to the service center, i had mine fixed as well, i have the i-mate jama 101, when i dropped it, I couldn't see anything but bright light. and the screen was not responding. but anyhow, lets hope that the LCD was not damaged, what you can do, just remove the battery, and let your technician check it carefully. if you still have the warranty, it would be perfect.
i had the same problem. but after changing the battery its oky now. its better u change your battery. u will end up the problem. but before changing the battery just c that is the outer cover of i-mate intact or not. because the problem with me was another one also. the external small cover could not be properly closed and it would move whenever i moved the cell phone alot. because there is a sensor along the shutting edges of the back cover. untill its closed completely your imate will give u the same problem. so first see the the cover is not moving all the time and if u do not have problem with that then change your battery. love u buddy. babay. a cute pakistani.
you can buy a blank key blade off ebay simple as that, i bought one for my 407 it was slightly to thick so i filed it down until it fit and it works great, hope this helps.
I just fixed this problem on mine.
You need to upgrade your Active sync on the computer, then download the setup file for Skype 2.2 for mobiles, then run it on the PC when Active sync is active.
Follow the installation and it'll install it to your PDA2K. You'll have to delete the old one though - and it won't work via a USB internet connection - only WIFI or GSM.
The i-mate pda2k is not a 3g phone! its only a 2g phone. But you can connect to the internet by using your wireless lan and GPRS.To connect to your computer, go to your phone settings menu then select "connect phone as modem",this will give you the option of connecting through GPRS or otherwise. You must have your settings set up properly to use this feature.
You need to check whether it's an .exe file or a .cab file. If it's a .exe you need to first install it on your pc nad then via activesync install it on your PDA2K. If its a .cab file you should be able to install it directly on th PDA2K.
ps If you try to run the .cab file on your PC it will say its not a valid apllication with the corresponding windows error code.
atta, you are asking a different question, not the same problem. YOU want to use bluetooth to transfer files. The other guy wants to use his phone as a dun.
so, for the other guy.
On this particular phone, only bluetooth dial up networking will work. It will not work as a cable connection. You have to pair the phone with the computer, then set up a connection under dial up networking as a bluetooth modem. The phone number will depend on the network. As I don't know your operating system, I don't know which dun to set up or how to set up your specific bluetooth pairing.
