The tv will not power on with the remote or manually pressing the power button. The power light blinks red and if you press the power button when the light is red it will stay solid for a few seconds but goes back to blinking

Blinking of power LED are fault indications. Count the number of blinks occur at one time switch on. For this number, you can get an idea about the faulty section circuit inside it. It will make troubleshooting much narrower. If you wish to get more details about the blinking codes, check this link. Pull up older posts there.

I need a code for a Toshiba tv and I have a yk524-01 remote

Here are the steps to program your YK524-01 remote to your Toshiba TV using a code:
  1. Turn on your Toshiba TV.
  2. Press and hold the "TV" button on your YK524-01 remote until the LED light blinks twice.
  3. Enter one of the following 3-digit codes for Toshiba TVs: 115, 125, 136, 156, 159, 160, 170, 179, 185, 195, 204, 216, 218, 227, 228, 229, 231, 233, 235, 236, 238, 239, 240, 241, 242, 243, 244, 245, 246, 247, 248, 249, 250, 251, 252, 253, 254, 255.
  4. Press the "Power" button on your YK524-01 remote. If your Toshiba TV turns off, the code has been successfully programmed. If your Toshiba TV does not turn off, repeat steps 2 to 4 with a different code from the list.
If none of the codes work, you can try the automatic code search method:
  1. Turn on your Toshiba TV.
  2. Press and hold the "TV" button on your YK524-01 remote until the LED light blinks twice.
  3. Press and release the "Power" button on your YK524-01 remote.
  4. Press the "CH+" button repeatedly until your Toshiba TV turns off.
  5. Press and release the "TV" button on your YK524-01 remote to save the code.
I hope this helps!

My Mitsubishi Medallion tv stays on for about 10 minutes and then shuts down and won't turn back on until a period of time has passed. It is a rear projection tv about 9 years old. Can anyone help ex

When it shuts off and the green power light goes off, press both the menu and input buttons on the front of the set (not the remote) and hold both for about five seconds and release.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks and then 3 blinks and repeat it several times.

What is the error code?

65" mitsubishi rear projection tv won't turn

IF model number posted is correct and green power light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off:
On front of set press and hold both the Menu and Input (device) buttons at the same time for at least five seconds and release both buttons.

Power light will then blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks, 2 blinks, a pause and repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code is found and I will tell you what it means.

My phillips 60 inch tv 60pl9200d/37 wont turn on the power button flashes blue

Look in the manual. (Page 4)

Turn the TV on From main supply: Ensure that the main supply is turned on. A blue indicator light on the front of the TV lights up. When the TV is turned on by the main supply, the blue indicator light will blink for 45 seconds. This is the lamp's start-up period. When the light goes off, press the POWER button on the remote control or power switch. Press POWER to turn on the TV.

Tv shut off in the middle of a movie now power light on front just blinks red and does not respond to the remote

Count the number of time the light blinks and if there is a sequence. Google your make and model number and add "blink codes" to the end. The blink code of the red light will tell you what's wrong with your tv. It's a self-diagnostic event.

TV auto shut off-power indicator light blinking-won't turn back on

You could have gotten an electrical surge that put your set into a shutdown condition and unplugging the set and letting the Microprocessor reset will fix this problem if it dosent blow out the main power regulator as you still or might I say have a regulator IC problem. IF THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS AGAIN MORE THEN A FEW TIMES WITHIN A SMALL TIME FRAME I WOULD HAVE THE SET LOOKED AT BEFORE THE REGULAOR BLOWS SOMETHING OUT!!!!
