I have had this toshiba A105 for about 7 months and everything has been great, until now. The LCD will randomly go into a flicker fit. I can still carry out a process using the tab keys so the computer is still working, seems like a display prob. when I move the mouse it flickers at different speeds and eventually turns white. I tried moving the lid back and forth, but the only way to get rid of it is to reboot. help!
no added software, the only thing out of the ordinary was it was left in a hot car for about 2 hours.no added software, the only thing out of the ordinary was it was left in a hot car for about 2 hours.

If the outside temperature was 90 degrees F or better and was in the car for an hour or more in the sun then I would contact the manufacturer to get it on the record. You probably have about 3 months left on your warranty so I would make it their problem. If its software you're only out time, however, if its hardware you will be lucky to diagnose the problem and get it repaired inside 30 days. The killer with a warranty repair is that you won?t get an extension of your warranty. That means you will have to exercise the heck out of the laptop to make sure the repair was the real problem and not just a symptom of something else.
Are you using a wireless optical mouse? They can do strange things with LCD's.Are you using a wireless optical mouse?

I am not sure, except that they both work through the graphic interface, and the output from some mice upset it. See if you can borrow a different brand/model to test it.I am not sure, except that they both work through the graphic interface, and the output from some mice upset it. My 52 in regza has a vertical line on the right side as well just under 2 years old, out of warranty and to costly to repair, I paid $2500 as well. The TV has been on its stand since the day I bought it and has been moved once.
I have read of others who have this problem as well, just google toshiba regza red line, or vertical line
I Too will never buy Toshiba products and I will tell everyone I can about the **** LCD Toshiba
unplug everything. press power button continously for one minute. helps sometimes. sometimes repeating multiple times helps. sometimes repairs the issue for a few months and then finally breaks for good.
This is my fourth Vista HCx, the first crashed regularly until I updated the sw which fixed it, but soon after it blew an internal fuse and had to be replaced, the second worked great for six months and never once crashed but I broke the glass so had to send it back for repair. Unfortunatly Garmin will not repair a unit but will only replace it so the third arrived and kept randomly crashing after 2 to 12 hours use. I sent this one back and the fourth arrived this weekend, it crashed within an hour of getting it out of the box and switching it on. Everything at default just as it arrived. Have set everything up now and done all resets but it still crashes after 5 mins up to about 3 hours is the longest it has ever run for. I will be going back on Monday.
