Your out of luck with those FM transmiters. They will allways be picking up a channel from somewhere. I live in a city and it was impossible to use. Maybe way out in the country side id might work.

Ipod does not charge after plugging in ac adaptor for 8 hours

Is it an official Apple charger? A lot of 3rd party chargers have this problem, they work fine for a while and suddenly stop working. I would try plugging it into the computer, if that doesn't charge it then something could be wrong with the ipod. If it doesn't charger google "reset ipod" and follow the instructions provided by Apple.

Hope this helps!

Belkin products are notorious for breaking down at a high rate. If you wanted to rule out your computer as the culprit, you could install the belking adapter on your laptop (disable the built-in one) and see if it still works. I would also suggest going here:

and typing in your product model # and downloading the latest firmware/software for it. As always, restart your computer.

Bad reception

I see you've already read the "Troubleshooting" section of the manual! The only other things I can think of to check would be the actual connection between the radio (aka head unit) and the antenna. It's usually just a press-fit connection behind the radio, but if it's loose, corroded, or is touching some other metal, it could affect the reception.
There's also the small possibility something changed at the transmitter tower for the radio station. That happened in my area once, where they changed the direction in which most of the signal power was being broadcast. Westside reception got better, eastside reception got worse.
