It is to be remembered that the started kw out put is not not the continuous rated out put of a gen set so for example a gen set sold as a 3000watt or 3kva has a continuous out put of around 80% of that and if your current draw is at the top end then the engine will be hard pressed to maintain constant frequency which is rpm controlled

Not normally, the board outputs to the fuel pump, or LP shut off solenoid. It doesn't know the difference.

Is it losing Battery power, or just not pumping? check connections, and pins on board connector. Failing that replace the board, if Battery voltage is been lost

Surging is fuel issue, carb gummed, pump pressure (there was a series of bad pumps recall) check with your local dealer. There was a PSB depends on your spec number.

Gap is 0.025" plug is a NGKR BPR4EY

Go to the auto parts store and buy a "Battery Tender" solar powered, or get an electric trickle charger. Or install a battery disconnect for the period the unit is not in use; you can disconnect the battery.

Test the solinoid with an ohms meter and if the circuit is open replace the solinoid.
