If you haven't solved the problem yet, most likely you will have to send the unit in for repair. When you first power up the unit the system goes through a self test. "light on then off then on again"

I keep getting and alert that says "data error, please turn off" and doesn't work in my CardioCare 2000 ECG/EKG Machine. Can you help please?

Question edited for clarity and typo.
Question moved from Cars and Trucks category.

Too specialised for Fixya. This is professional medical equipment. Contact maker support or send to them for repair. No one reports a fix for that error message.

After turning on the ecg machines [Bionet cardio care 2000 12 channel] the machine say paper is empty while paper roll is already there. Please explain why it says paper is empty

If your Bionet CardioCare 2000 ECG machine is indicating that the paper is empty even though the paper roll is correctly loaded, there could be a few reasons for this issue:
  1. Paper Jam: Even though you've loaded the paper roll, there might be a paper jam inside the machine that is preventing the paper from feeding properly. Check if there's any paper stuck or misaligned within the paper path.
  2. Paper Not Loaded Correctly: Ensure that the paper roll is properly loaded and inserted into the machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. Sometimes, improper loading can cause the machine to not detect the paper correctly.
  3. Paper Sensor Issue: The machine has sensors that detect the presence of paper. There might be a malfunction with the paper sensor, causing it to inaccurately detect the absence of paper. Dust or debris could be affecting the sensor's operation.
  4. Paper Roll Compatibility: Ensure that you're using the correct type and size of paper roll that is compatible with the Bionet CardioCare 2000. Using the wrong paper could lead to detection issues.
  5. Sensor Calibration: There might be a need to recalibrate or reset the paper sensor if it's misaligned or malfunctioning. This would likely require referring to the user manual or contacting the manufacturer's support for guidance.
  6. Machine Error: There could be an error or malfunction within the machine's internal components that is causing it to incorrectly display the "paper empty" message.
In any case, I recommend the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
  1. Carefully review the user manual to ensure that you've loaded the paper correctly and followed all the steps accurately.
  2. Check for any visible paper jams or misalignments within the paper path.
  3. If possible, power cycle the machine by turning it off, waiting for a minute, and then turning it back on. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve minor issues.
  4. Clean the paper sensor area and the paper path to ensure there's no dust or debris affecting the sensor's operation.
  5. If none of the above steps work, consider contacting Bionet's customer support or a qualified service technician for further assistance. They should be able to guide you through troubleshooting or provide professional help to resolve the issue.
Please note that specific instructions could vary based on the model and its specific design, so referring to the user manual and manufacturer's support is essential for accurate troubleshooting.

All leads are on the right spot, why it's not generating result - it says Limb lead disconnected

The cable may be broken inside its insulation. Or... there may be a problem with your skin on that limb - try the other arm, or use your legs.

EKG Problem

EKGs provide useful data and can help detect various problems related to heart function. One basic determination that can be made with an EKG is the heart rate, which can be determined by measuring the distance between peaks. Diagnosis of certain medical problems is also possible. For example, in patients with high blood pressure, the amplitude of the QRS complex is significantly increased. The balance of certain chemicals in the body can also be detected by an EKG, since the amplitude of the signals is related to the levels of chemicals in the body. Damage in the heart can also be observed by a deformation in the Q wave. The most useful characteristic of the EKG is its ability to detect and describe arrhythmias, or abnormal heartbeats. EKG machines known as Holter monitors are for these detections. Finally, EKGs can be used to observe obstructions in the arteries. This is typically done by looking for a depressed segment between the S and T waves.
