Mdb7759 Control panel stopped working, replaced it and got two cycles out of it and it stopped working again. I feel that this machine is a real lemon and should be recalled. Any possible solutions? I've tried the heated dry/ high temp wash reset but I does not work. Help

SOURCE: Control panel lights OK; Won't start into cycles

Hey, just had the same problem with my 9150. Moisture got into the electronic key pad. $300 to replace it. I was 5 months out of warranty.

I called 800-688-9900 and Maytag agreed to cover the part and we have to cover the labor. Not completely satisfied but a little bit helps.

Take a peak at the link I sent you...... Maytag T/l NEPTUNE

I feel it's your best shot at troubleshooting to a DIY repair of your FAV9800A that's your machine model type.

The FAV6800A is the LED console version of the machine my model

I feel you won't get much support in this forum. Look at the responses most are from FAV6800AWDIY and dh1200s.........me and me........:)

If you can't get your FAV9800A back in service I feel we can convert to the LED Console real cheap.

Meet back at the Applinace Blog forum and lets see what we can do to get you back in service.

I would hope a forum member on this forum would chime in with a troubleshooting path. I would be very interested. D*ick........need the * in the name because this forum feels my name (auto parse darn machines) is a baddddddd word.......:)

Kernmore 70 series washer will not drain

Hello, Your problem is going to be with your lid switch, this is located normally either in the control panel or about half way down on the right side under the lid. This is a safety feature to stop you opening the lid while the machine is in a high spin. Once you have located the switch trace the wires back to the wire harness in the control panel. Disconnect the lid switch from the wire harness and with an ohms meter check for condinuity on pin 1 & 3 (the 2 outside pins not the middle this is a ground) You should find you have no condinuity and should replace this switch. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!! Mike

When I start the washer it continues to fill up and wont stop

Hello,Sounds like a problem with either the inlet valve or the pressure switch, way to determine which one is... while it is filling pull the plug..if water keeps filling it's the inlet valve..if it stops filling it's the pressure switch..The inlet valve is normally located in the back of the machine where the hoses hook up. The pressure switch can normally be found inside the control panel with a small rubber tube attached to it. You should replace the faulty part. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again..good luck!! Mike

Maytag atlantis water does not stop filling, replaced timer and switch

Check the host that attaches to the water level sensor. The sensor is located behind the water level setting dealy ( I forget what they call it) so you have to remove the control panel to get it. Before you do that you can see if the tube is connected properly by just opening up the top of the washer and pulling on the tube. If it comes down in your hand there's your problem. If you can't pull it out it still may be connected but have a hole in it or just not be completely secured. You will have remove the control panel to fully inspect it.

Washing machine has stopped mid-cycle

Your lid switch has failed. Take loose the control panel with the two screws in the back corners of the panel(Back of machine) Then flip the panel forward and your lid switch is on the left side cliped into the case. Replace it and your good to wash clothes again.

Washing Machine won't stop filling up

Try resetting your water level control. If that doesn't help then set the water level control to the lowest setting and observe if level exceeds that setting. If so, you may possibly have a faulty water level control, or an obstruction in the air dome or water level control hose. This can be a tricky 1 to diagnose for a novice.
