Three small semi circles got burned into my timeshift game and now it wont read period. I have tried everything, cleaners, felt rags, water, and this jank game fixer that just told me it was broken. wow thanks for cleaning that up sony. So what do I do.
To fix lazor burned disk the best solution is to use silver polish me and my friend did it with my MW2 disk and its works good as new

What you can do is if the game is shown on the Xbox 360 dashboard when you insert it. then there may be a solution. This is to buy the same game in good condition, save it to your hard drive and sell the good copy. when you want to play the game just insert your laserburned game in and play off the hard drive. thats what i did with my MW2
why the **** buy a new game in good condition and save it to the harddrive when you can just buy a new game you ******
Because then you can return the new copy and get your money back, whilst still being able to play the game. Fuckwit.

if you rent it from like blockbuster then download and use laserburned copy would that work?
yes i did this with borderlands and blockbuster not know difference but then i replaced my laser game w/ its good game... =) hehehe
what if the laserburn is in the beginning of the game, and you dont even make it to the press start screen. still work with that method?

Go to local gamestation or game and see if they have a disc cleaner it cost $1.99 or £1 works every time
My dead space got laser burned and i found that wiping it didnt do anything i then tryed getting the burn out with t cut that helped a bit but not for long in the end i just took it to either game station or chips and it worked that cost £1.99

Well I Know that this sounds kind of desperate but My Call Of Duty 4 game got some laser burns on it so i got this weird type of wash cloth that's really soft and i put hot water on it then scrubbed it for like 2 hours(Not in one day) and know i'm able to play every mission/level and do multiplayer which I wasn't able to do before.
Laser burn, looks like complete or partial circular scratches around your disc, also known as “the ring of death”. This occurs to discs when the games console has been moved whilst playing, from an upright to a horizontal position or vice versa or simply knocked against or the wires may have been just tripped upon. Discs are then impaired by a ring of laser burn, which is a circular scratch into the disc. Some home remedies may help with very light scratches on some discs but professional disc repair services is normally required to restore disc laser burn damage back to "As Good As New Condition".

Easiest way to fix it is to get a game cleaner solution and wipe in a circular motion gently for about 45 mins. Worked for me
What's happing is the DVD is getting to close to the laser that reads it, burning that ring in it. Many people call this laser burn. Open your console and DVD drive, put an 3mm foam with adhesive on inside top part of the case, right above where the DVD sits, but on the opposite side of the laser. Now it will hit the pad instead of the top part of the case, keeping it away from the laser. This won't fix already scratched game, but will prevent future burns.

This actually may be caused by something in the drive itself. you need to open the console up and then the dvd drive. their could be a magnet that has come off and stuck itself to the inside of the casing also check any thing in the drive that looks unusual. the magnet goes back on the motor that turns the disk.
My star wars the force unleashed got laser burned and my madden i fixed the star wars game but my madden still didn't work until i spent like a hour in a half wiping it now its good as new all you gotta do is have patience with your game.

I have tried everything!!! literally everything for my fifa 13. It gets to the menu then i scroll along and my xbox goes quite and says Game error. i put toothpaste, vaseline, toothpaste in hot water for half an hour, lip bom, deodrant. NOTHING WORKS!!!

WORKED FOR ME: take a polishing cloth and some polish. Spray the polish on the area of the disc that has the laser burn. Make sure your disc is on a stable flat surface so you don't snap it and thoroughly rub it. I mean THOROUGHLY. It will come out with a lot of tiny surface scratches but if you work on the area long enough, you can remove the burn.
If it's an Xbox game, install it on your Xbox so it's less likely to affect your gaming.

I found toothpaste worked, it doesnt really work with a wet cloth tho, i got lazer burn on my mw3 and i found that toothpaste worked i scrubed it around for about 10 mins that worked good as new ! 
My Black Ops disc has a burn but not the ringed burned it is more of a small disformed circle right on the edge of the centre of the disc, I couldnt take it back because apparently it was burned in my Xbox for just running for so many hours straight. It has the same look on the burn as it does with the ring. Is it safe to use the same method as the ringed burn or is this disc completely done and I should just get a new one?

it happend to me as well when i berly got the xbox 360 and put the disc and turned it over and bam!! it had and amazing round circle but when i fliped it , it was still working but when i turned it off it never worked again. But ive used tooth paste but i think those are for minor scratches. Also ive heard you can fix with a buffer or gamestop sells game fix thingis ill try both.

i have a burn "flame" on my copy of rockband2 and i it takes forever to get it to play. When it does work i cant let it idle for longer than 30 seconds or it will give me the unreadible error.....same after i play any downloaded song. the exact same thing happened to my copy of gears of war 2, but it wont work period. My Left 4 dead game got burned when my mother decided to flip, tore my xbox out of the wall and tore the wires out, threw the xbox and the top came off i fixed it but when i hooked up the console, my left 4 dead had a circle outline on it around like not even one 1/2 an inch from the outer rim of the disk. I wouldnt read i even tried buffering, cleaning, Even tryed to take it to game stop and they said they couldnt fix it!! Any suggestions :( i just want to be able to play with my friends.
