Stuffing from a dog bed clogged the pump. I cleared the clog and made sure the fins inside the "donut" move freely, re-installed the pump. The machine spins but does not drain. When it should be draining, I hear a faint, constant, humming noise that does not appear to come from the pump. Water is reaching the pump which overflows and leaks from the top until the tub is empty. I removed the pump and checked it again, it is still clear. It appears that the drain line is empty, but I don't know how to remove it for a full inspection and don't have a long enough tool to ensure that the whole thing is clear. It seems likely that the pump is bad, but I don't want to order one without a second opinion.
Hi
Dishwasher not draining issue usually occurs due
to kinked drain pipe, clogged drain filter or drain pump. First make sure that
the drain is not clogged and remove clogs if present. If no visible lint is
present then remove the lower front access panel to check the drain filter and
drain pump for any clogs, you'll need to clean the drain filter and drain pump
completely. Also, check for any food pieces stuck near the pump impeller &
clean the chopper assembly. Please note that dishwashers don't drain out the
complete water such that heating element doesn't overheat. Hope this helps...
Please post back for any further assistance.

I have an AWS51NW and can't figure out how to remove the white plastic clamp/ring that holds the drain hose in place on the back panel of the machine. I could use force to pry it off, but I'm pretty sure I would break it. Do I need a special tool or am I missing an obvious trick?
