If you are having trouble getting the liquidiser to lock into place on your Masterchef 65, here are a few things you can try:
Make sure the blender jar and the base are lined up correctly. The grooves on the base and jar should match up perfectly.
Check to see if the locking mechanism is clean and free of debris. Use a soft cloth to clean the locking mechanism and the area around it.
Try pressing down on the jar while turning it clockwise to see if it will lock into place.
If none of the above works, it may be possible that the locking mechanism is damaged or worn. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional repair technician for further assistance.
Are you sure the rubber gear is burned? have you turn the plastic lock on the bottom, so everything is thight? have you checked that the plastic O-ring is well placed?
I tried the vinegar thing but it didn't quite work. We blended some smoothies with yogurt and it leaked through the bottom. No big deal, we tightened it up. We didn't clean it immediately. By the time we went to clean it, it was stuck. The vinegar didn't work, tried baking soda with vinegar, didn't work. Finally we ran the bottom underneath hot water for about 5-10 minutes. Finally after one strong turn the bottom came off. We have an oyster, the base can be used as well to take the bottom off but it turns counter-clockwise.
I would suggest wearing heavy gloves and removing all glass shards from your work area. If the shards have completely separated from the belnder collar, then you are done. If not, carefully unscrew the lid from the collar. If it won't budge, submerge the collar and blender jar parts in a very large bowl with vinegar - after 20-30 minutes, try unscrewing again (don't forget those gloves). As expensive as ther eplacement blender jar is, you could just reorder the other parts if this does not resovle the issue.
