Your circuit between the two has been grounded out or messed with, anytime your blowing a fuse it is because the circuit it is wired to is getting hot, usually a wire grounding that is a positive wire and not a ground, better get a test light if your gonna check it yourself.,if you had someone put in a stereo or something new to the electricals they probably wired in to that circuit which would explain your problem, let me know, hope this was helpful.
Check your ciggerette lighter and power point and make sure they are clean. pull the lighter right out and try again. also a 7.5 amp fuse seems very small to run your dash and tail lights. should be a 20 amp fuse.

I took my pathfinder to U-HAUL and asked them to check the towing lights. There was a pinched wire by my tail light and they cut it and changed it out for me, it was $5. I am so glad that I didnt take it to Nissan. My second step was going to be getting a new dimmer switch..but the guy who worked on my car said that wouldnt be the problem. He also told me that replacing a fuse that kept blowing out was dangerous and after the first time to get it checked out. Learn something new every day!!

Looks like a bad headlamp switch. Poor contact inside the switch contacts will cause this issue.

I KNOW YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT.WAS AN ALARM INSTALLED OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ACCESSORY? CHECK WITH DODGE TO FIND OUT ABOUT A RECALL.IF SOMETHING WAS INSTALLED, TAKE IT BACK THERE TO STRAIGHTEN IT OUT IF NOT HAVE A AUTO TECHNICIAN CHECK IT FOR YOU.
