Question about Sony KP-57HW40 57" Rear Projection Television

Main screen showing "no signal"

I have the sony KP-43HT20 pojection tv. Have been using split-screen since it was purchased about 4 yrs. ago. I am on cable, had an interruption in service last week, now my main screen shows "no signal", but the secondary screen still working. Had Queek Squad come out, they couldn't figure it out. Also had another person from cable company out, no one seems to have any idea what is wrong, cable signal has been checked. Tried everything. Please help if you can.

My rear projection TV SONY KP-57HW40 have the same problem: there is a black screen and "no signal" message when using ANTENA input (cable service), but when I use the twin screen function (to see two programs at the same time), there is video and audio in the second tuner. All video inputs works OK. Do somebody here know how to solve this issue? Thanks in advance. [email protected]

KP-43HT20 has 2 tuners, one is main (TU2) and 2nd is called sub tuner (TU1). Both tuners are mounted on A board located on right side of TV.
In my opinion, main tuner (TU2) is not working and causing No Signal message.
Let me know if you want to repair tv by yourself.to provide you more technical info.

The tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.Tv have colors lines R,G,B mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergene board have dead 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors are dead too.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced to solved the tv convergence picture problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

A have a KP-43HT20 43 in. rear porjection tv, and everything works on it but i cant get a cable connection on it now!! it keeps saying no signal!!! its not my cable provider, its the tv!!! please help!!...

hello, how have you got it setup, the aerial should go straight in to you cable box RF1 then a second lead from RF2 in to the tv, then reconnect your scart leads,try retuning your tv.fingers crossed.

If you received the kit from Tv Repair Kits email them. It should be in the instructions.

Yes.The best way to hook up this set is using the Component input (R,G and B inputs) with red white for audio

REAR PROJECTION TV SCREEN GETTING HARD TO SEE

Hi,
Your TV requires service and cleaning of screen, mirror and 3 lenses (of CRTs) as looks dusty.
Below is an exploded view how to take off front beznet assembly of this TV to clean inside with moist cotton cloth.
Unplug TV before taking off front of TV.

may have bad convergence amps stk392-560 board location Ic8001 Ic8002 or the dcu unit is bad or the alignment drifted off and it needs service adjustments made to it.
