I know this works on Windows XP:
Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Audio Devices -> Audio Tab
Select your normal input/output from the dropdown list (not the one that says Logiteck USB headset)
Important step - Close the program you were trying to change the audio for, and open it again. It should work. If not, leave it for a minute and try again.

I have windows 7 lop top i want to use Logitech usb headset 200. don't hear any thing after insert to the USB. What do have to do?

Please go to control panel and click on Sound
In theSound properties / settings window you must be seeing 2 options right click on the Logitech option and set it to default. Post this your logitech USB headset will be set to default sound playback device

I hope if you disconnect / connect the logitech USB headphones you are hearing sound from the regular speakers.

Need to turn off internal audio on flat screen to use headset

Hello,

When you plug in a headset or mic into the bottom or the side of the monitor, this should automaticly disable the internal speakers on the monitor.

Xbox 360 Controller and USB Headset Conflict

Go to control panel, sound and audio, hardware, USB devices, and disable it. The computer thinks the XBox controller is an audio device and is giving it priority.

I have speekers but when i am in a chatroom i dont get to hear what people are sayin how did it get to be able to hear them????

1. go to control panel
2. choose "sounds and audio devices"
3. choose the "audio" tab
4. there are "default device" for "sound playback" and "sound recording", change both to logitech usb headset"

you then effectively enable the headset and disable the speakers. and the sound will remain on the headset after unplug and replug.

Logitech speakers X-530, slow playback!!

hi,
Launch Sounds in Control Panel
Then in the Sound Control Panel right-click on Speakers and select Properties
Navigate to the Enhancements tab and check Disable all enhancements.
IMPORTANT: You MUST have Disable All Enhancements checked even if none of the enhancements are specifically enabled
Then click OK and close the Control Panel.
This should hopefully fix your problem

Good luck
