How do I use the Microtek Scanmaker 6100 Pro???

When I try to scan pictures all I get as an appearance is nothing but a bunch of colors and the image does not show at all? Im Confused :0 I wonder if the settings are wrong. I do not have the instruction manual for this thing so I am totally lost.

Seems as if the internal firmware in the scanner has failed If it has there will not be a repair option Check out the makers customer support before junking it.

Green Screen Happens when I Scan

just clean the both inner mirror and the scanning lamp of the scanner. it will star working. Remember use clean and dry cotton cloth for cleaning

Green streaks on scanned images

Try placing your paper at different places on the scan bed. Also if you have fluorescent lights on nearby turn them off.
Also is your driver compatiible with your OS?

yes u can repair this try to remove the cover clean up the white tiles which reflect the image, also unscrew it and clean up the mirror and lens

Yellow Streak on Images

I took the scanner apart. Then using a dampened eyeglass cleaning cloth, I gently cleaned the 3 internal mirrors.
No more yellow streak! :)

Microtek Scanner installation issue

If running XP SP2, then try clicking Start > right click My Computer > properties > Hardware tab > Device Manager button > expand Imaging devices > right click on your Microtek ScanMaker > uninstall > Re boot > and let XP pick up the device and let the found hardware wizard configure it.

I have seen plenty of hardware that when following the devices manufacturer's instructions for install, such problems as you're having occur and XP SP2 usually will cure it, though you may still need the device manufacturer's CD (for the driver) in your optical drive.
