Can't access WR80G. Sniffers detect it ESSID, signal, etc. Leds green. But doesn't comunicate. I could save ethercap or etherreal captions and send them attached. I had reflashed it some times. I had recovery from broken state by reflashing it first whith 4.03 firmware, later with 6.14 and whit freifunk in the last instance. It had bricked before, after my trying to recover deffault settings. But now, I select dhcp in wan config. (freifunk) since I did think to use it like a second node in a two moto's net. I aplied changes without change the lan addres previously. I think that could have been an error. I have reseted it some times since then.

Thanks you both for trying, only a few hours after my asking.

I know manuals. I had handled default IP addresses. My PC has actually 192.168.10.2 and is conected to another identical router managing several pc's routing.

I suspect my speech is not clear enough as I'm not english speaker but reader.

If it's not an abuse I could upload files from etherreal sniffing when pc is cable conected to the unaccesible router. If you or anymore can analyse.

Any activities are detected between the own router's MAC addresses but the PC eth adapter MAC is absent all over those captions.

When attempting a dhcp conections to router, the result is limited or null conectivity and a 169.x.x.x ip address.

How is aug 3 to you and aug 2 for me? (gmt-5)
I can't ping but leds are correctly green ligthing as I cable connect wan or 1-4 lan ports.
I don't know to use ethereal or ethercap, but I command etereal to snif eth0 (from hax puppy), and it catch and can show captions.

No. I don't know how to ping mi pc card from my own pc.

    It's posssible?
what could thatt be usable to?

    Router doesn't respond ping.

But snifer software can detect some traffic. Reports show the respective router's MAC's.

Smooth_Gecko,Do you know how to understand that reports. They can be shown in plain text.. Thanks you

  • Anonymous Aug 04, 2007

P.S. My ethernet card isn't gone.
I used it to sniff whith etereal connecting pc-router by cable ports 1,2,3,4 and wan port. O.K.?

  • Anonymous Aug 07, 2007

Nothing have hapened. both Genius2k4 and Smooth_Gecko solutions asumes I can communicate with router using an IP address.
I suspect its possible sending a firmware to MAC address, using fttp or another protocol.
    Router is not responding pings.

  • Anonymous Sep 05, 2007

I did ping -t 192.168.1.1 in a dos window for many hours without sucess. Suddenly it begin to respond. I had reflashed by using another DOS window, while it was responding, as I had learn previously, and Voila! it is working now.

Thank you guys for your helping me.

Try setting your PC to DHCP in your network connection settings, plug in ethernet cable & reboot it.

The authentification is where I would look next. I chased a limited or no connectivity problem for a while the other day, and it turned out to be in there.
Can you ping the ethernet card and the router?

  • Anonymous Aug 03, 2007

Can you ping the card in the PC, from the PC?
I am getting the feeling your ethernet card is gone.
You should be able to ping your card and the router as long as you have a cable plugged in.

  • Anonymous Aug 04, 2007

Quote "My PC has actually 192.168.10.2"
From "run" on the main menu, just type "cmd" to get a console.
    Type "ping 192.168.10.2"
    and hit enter.

Then try pinging your routers IP address.
Until you can ping the router reliably, nothing will work.

If you have set it to dhcp on wan only then your local pcs will not be issued an IP address unless dhcp over lan is enable you could try setting a static ip on your local pc but it has to be in the same range as your router, your routers default IP address is 192.168.10.1 so set your pcs ip to 192.168.10.12 and of course try talking to your router via the ethernet cable not just wireless. How do i locate audio and video spy devices someone has planted in my home?

There are little receivers you can purchase that are wide banded an as you walk around the house holding the the receiver near objects it will buzz. Telling you a radio signal is in that area. You can make one very cheaply. If you search ebay, youtube you will find devices people have used. Some are called sniffers, locators, etc.

ie make acer

When I plug in the router, it doesn't do the checks all 3 LEDs are on. I also can't access the router settings nor the network i set up using the router

Without knowing the brand and model, I would say this router is defective. If the LEDS are not cycling through and remaining solid lit, this is a good indicator of a major problem. Try pressing and holding in the reset button (usually located on the back or bottom) for at least 30 secs. Some routers require disconnecting from power, holding in the same button and then restoring power and then releasing the button once the LEDS cycle. If the resaults are the same and the LEDS "freeze", then the router is likely defective and not repairable.

I cannot pair my nokia e63 with genius bt-03i. seems the phone can't sense the signal from the headset or either the headset is not transmitting bluetooth signal

Make sure the blue-tooth headset is charged

Make sure the phone is set to automatically detect new blue-tooth device.

On the headset, press the power key for five seconds until the RED light blinks quickly.

Phone should detect headset within 10 - 30 seconds. It should eventually say BT-03A then ask for aOnce it does, type 0000 into the phone when it asked for a device ID.

Connecting cell phone and Jabra

Check that both devices are BT enabled and in pairing mode -ie, leds blinking-. If one of the device is not in pairing mode, it is normal that the process fails.

If you experience the same problem on other phones with your Jabra BCE-250 -same as mine-, you might think of getting it checked first.

LED Display gives you your display visual alerts, signal strength, and operation mode. Here is an attached link for the manual.....http://www.uniden.com/pdf/LRD6399SWSom.pdf
But to answer your question here is what the difference between the green light and the red light are:
1. X-Band Signal Indicator—A green LED lights and blinks to
indicate the presence of an X-band radar signal. The blink rate
increases as the radar source gets closer. A distinct audio alert is
also heard.
2. K-Band Indicator— An amber (orange) LED lights and blinks to
indicate the presence of a K-band radar. The blink rate increases as
the radar source gets closer. A distinct audio alert is also heard.
3. Ka-SuperWideband Signal Indicator— A yellow LED lights and
blinks to indicate the presence of a Ka-SuperWideband radar
signal. The blink rate increases as the radar source gets closer. A
distinct audio alert is also heard.
4. Laser Signal Indicator— A red LED under L lights and blinks to
indicate the presence of a laser signal. A distinct audio alert is also
heard.
5. SWS Signal Indicator— When an early warning hazard or
informational signal is detected, the yellow SWS LED begins to
blink and the amber K-band LED lights. A distinct audio alert is
also heard.
6. Power-On Indicator— A green LED under P lights to indicate
power is being supplied to the unit and the unit is turned on.
7. LED Signal Strength Meter—Four LEDs give an accurate visual
indication of the strength of radar or laser signals.
8. City Mode Indicator—A green LED under C lights to indicate
that you selected City Mode.
9. Auto Mute Indicator— A red LED under M lights to indicate that
you selected the Auto Mute feature.

Please make sure you give me a rating and I hope this helps,
