TIMER/STANDBY LIGHT IS FLASHING TV WON'T TURN ON...
Hey Shannonbmomt I had the same problem with my KP-53HS10 and I had to replace the High Voltage Transistor IRFI640LFcost me about $20usd with shipping from

I also found that I had a bad flyback transformer which from what I have read online is also a common problem if the high voltage transistor goes out. So I replaced the flyback as well for another $18 from electronix.com part SONY FLYBACK 1-453-285-11
Soldered both pieces in and tv is good as new

When I turn the tv on it clicks like it's gonna turn on but nothing happens. The light blinks then goes to stereo and the light stays on

t3flon, I have a problem with my Sony KP-53HS10. And you said you have a service manual for it. The standby/timer light is blinking 5 times and i just wanted to know if i could change that part...the akb detection thing. I tried to search it online but nothing comes up...
