No water filled,light flash till wash only - Hoover 24 in. DT999 Free-Standing Dishwasher

It sounds like there may be a problem with your Ariston dishwasher. The flashing lights and the dishwasher's inability to wash could be caused by a number of issues, including a problem with the control panel, a faulty water inlet valve, or a clogged wash pump.
To troubleshoot the issue, you can try the following steps:

Sounds like you're fill valves are junk which sadly happens allot. This video is very generic but should give you an idea

Check the motor brushes and belt.

So I understand the issue. Does the wash cycle start up? By that I mean if you release the washer top from the base do the tumblers turn once the water fill cycle is complete?

If you don't have the FAV6800A/FAV9800A Service Manual (you can't get it on line anymore) see this post Clutch Fix I describe how to release the washer top from the base to observe the wash basket. Don't raise during the water fill cycle wait till that completes.

Does the key pad beep as you press the other cycle select key pads?

Hi Yugin.That indicates your machines water inlet valve is faulty.(Means it's taking less water then normal)Please check this steps & do it fast before water inlet is finishes:1-Turn your machine on & run empty with pre-wash cycle first.2-Please ajar the detergent drawer & check runing water on compartment one 3-Please press pre-wash button & compare the running water volume on compartment two.If the running water volume 1 is less then 2 or vs.water valve needs to be replace.That's causing problem.I hope that helps.Thanks.

To reset the Dishwasher when the light is flashing press in sequence normal wash, heat dry, normal wash, heat dry, normal wash, heat dry three times within 6 sec all the lights will come on then hit cancel. What that did is reset the control and clear that fault. Keep in mind that D/W does not heat its own water your incoming water temp should be 120. The D/W will maintain that temp. When starting your D/W first turn on your hot water till it gets hot then start your D/W this insures your unit fills with hot water and not cold.

That means the control sensed that the heater in the d/w did not operate 3 times in a row. so the unit locks out. First remove the kick plate and you may have to pull the unit out from under the cab, but check your heater. use a meter to see if it reads open, if so order a heater assy it will come with a new control replace it to. If your heater checks good press in sequence normal wash , heat dry ,normal wash,heat dry , normal wash , heat dry three times within 6 sec all the lights will come on then hit cancel.
