Question about SanDisk Sansa E280 MP3 Player

1 Answer

Digital Signing I have a Sansa e280 which of late has been causing me great frustration. I have tried on numerous occasions to transfer music from Windows Media Player as well as Real Player and every time I do both players display the infamous "...has encountered a problem and needs to close" message. I've tried every troubleshooting tactic I can find online--the only possible thing that I can think of is when I go into device manager(which was part of several of the troubleshooting tips i found), it said under Driver that the device wasn't digitally signed. This is the only thing that I can think that would cause all these problems but I have no idea how or if I even can fix this.

Turn off the folder views to details when you go on the file that causes those messages. Or if that doesnt work, click, send Error Report, then click the More Information button on ways to fix the problem.

I re-formatted my Sansa e280 and now my computer does not recognize it. I am wanting to transfer music files only, using Windows Media Player.

Try to reset the device and if there is any driver for it, install them before connecting it to the computer.

Sandisk sansa e280 will not down load songs

The Sansa player will only recognize certain file formats. The songs with a Red X are not eligible to be transferred to your player, because their DRM license does not allow transfer to certain (or any) mp3 players.

It is best to use songs that are in mp3 format only. They will give you fewer headaches.

iTunes songs will not work with this player.

I dont no how to download

ben there are actually two modes of transfer the player is using. The first is by choosing MSC/Rhapsody on the player. You can drag and drop songs to the player provided they are not purchase from any online music stores like rhapsody, bestbuy music, or walmart.com. The other mode is MTP/Plays for Sure you can transfer songs to the player using windows media player 11 software or any mtp softwares. You can use this link for more instructions

http://sandisk.com/sansa/ then choose support then softwares and user manual then choose your model then on the right window click on the link How to Videos.

PC won't detect sansa e280 please help me

I had the same prob with my e280 yesterday and i bought it 4 days ago. I'm using a vista o.s. and i found a way to transfer files this morning. if you are using a vista os you should first set your sansa to MTP mode so that your windows media player can detect your e280 then you can start synching. If you are using XP o.s. there shouldn't be any prob with that but you have to switch to MSC mode. you can find these settings on the setting menu of your e280 then USB mode.you can also open the E280 player if you see it on "my computer" there you can transfer the files.don't use your wmp player when you are doing this on vista cuz the wmp player will also synch at the same time and it will synch the same file.
