I have installes windows 7 ultimate in my asus p4 motherboard but sound is not coming inspite of plugging speakers its shows unplugged

Try with another pair of headphones or speakers. If the computer is not recognizing there are audio devices plugged in there may be a problem with the audio jacks or sound drivers.

Having all of the windows updates and drivers updated (inside Device manager) will help.

I changed xp and installled win7, now no sound, message comes, "no audio output device is installed", i have lost driver CD too!1

Hello,

This is one of the most common problems when upgrading. You will need to find and install the audio driver for Win 7.

You don't give enough information right now. Can you comment back and give the make and model of your computer or your motherboard. if you have a separate sound card, we would need the make and model of it.

My sound driver is stal buti m not have sonnd

Are there any icons at the bottom of the computer screen suggesting the sound is muted i.e a speaker with a line through it. is there an icon for sound. if you hover the mouse over the icons at the bottom right hand of the screen a box will appear saying what the icon is.

Have you checked your device manager? Make sure you have installed the right driver for you computer. I suggest you try to upgrade drivers for your computer first, then visit HP's website to check if there's any firmware upgrade for you machine. How do i get my computers volume to work

Open the control panel, click on sound and audio devices, then volume control.
Or there may be an icon in the system tray(bottom right of screen) for volume, if not you can tick a box in the volume controls in the control panel, sonnd and audio secction.

Iwant sound driver for my hcl computer

Go to that Mfg.website to download the driver.............If they dont have it. Go to www.drivers.com They may have have it. if not do a search on the web..Sometimes to get the right driver
you have to look at the IC chip (most of the time it will be the biggest one on the sound card).Search that # that you find on that Chip...Good Luck Finding a Driver can be a pain....Worst Case Buy anouther sound card it will have the driver...You can get a sonnd card for $19.00
