PANASONIC SA-PM08 DISPLAYING 'LOCKED'

My stereo comes on and off fine but when i try to open it to insert a cd it displayed 'locked'. Advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated! :-)

Would be cool if that display means you have #74 fuse blown. Maybe its for the amp output to the speakers? have you tried the speakers on another system? could they be blown? Is there anything in the manual about the error?

If a no read situation either a dirty or more likely failed optical pickup in the unit.

2004 malibu maxx car stereo just switched to locked while driving now cd wont come out displaying a no cd message. Is this something I can fix or do I need to take it to the dealership??

The best bet is to take it to the dealer. This can cause you problems trying to solve yourself.

When I turn on the radio or insert a CD almost immediately stereo turns itself off and message F-61 appears. It has worked fine for past 2-3 years. Model SA AK640 panasonic stereo system

That message means the audio amplifier IC´s are damaged

I think the best and safest solution is to search and contact a specilialist electronics in your area and have him take a look at it, maybe it just needs cleaning, a firmware update or any software that fails that can be fixed like that.

My Panasonic SA pm08 DVD/CD player is stuck on 'Locked' and I can't change the cd's or do anything. J How do I unlock system?

Try first unplugging unit from main, and holding the cancel button.

If that does not work try the following:
Hold at the same time the stop button on the main unit and key >10 on the remote control at the same time for about 5 seconds, until you get the word "initialised" on display. This will reset the unit to factory settings.

My panasonic SA-AK750 hi fi stereo keeps saying disc change error and the changer will not open or change disc. ive tried turning it off at the wall and then turning it on again but its still displaying...

Tienes que llevarlo a un centro de reparaciones ya que el sistema de cd esta fuera de tiempo por eso no funciona nada.Hasta que no lo pongan a tiempo no va a funcionar.

Very nice unit this one but Im not able to help you with the code but sounds like its shutting down because of an overload . Contact Panasonic but you may be surprised on how bad panasonic treats there customers as it say that Panasonic answers very few of there BBB complaints???good luck

panasonic sa-pm08 disc not playing This DVD player regularly does not play one or more discs in a set of DVDs. It comes up with 1 - 3 zeroes a few times and then NO PLAY. These are pucker Region 2 DVDs and they should play. Why don't they?
