Your inkjet nozzles may be clogged with old dried ink. Try removing your color cartridge and looking at the area on your print carraige where the inkjet cartridge mates up with the carriage. Use a Q-tip and warm distilled water to gently swab this area until all the old ink is dissolved and it wipes clean. You may need several Q-tips for this. Allow to air dry and reintall your print cartidge. Your printer should go into an automatic cleaning cycle. You may also need to gently clean the area on the cartidge itself using the Q-tip method. Good luck.

Get "remove and check print cartridges" on printer, a new black cartridge has been replaced but still get same message.

Hi,

Is the new black cartridge that you fitted made by HP?
If it is not I would try with a new HP cartridge, I would also try replacing the colour cartridge.

I get the message "remove and check print cartridge" on my hp 2410 printer. I Replaced the black cartridge and still the same. I do not use color and have had cartridge in for a couple of years. Any way...

I don't think so. Printers usually won't print unless it can detect both cartridges. It doesn't matter whether the colour one is empty or full, as long as it can detect it you can usually still use black.

Hp psc 1510 - only want black ink

Hi Manavoc,

I will explain you the cause for it.

It prints in yellow first and then override with black for better quality. This is the reason your color ink gets empty.
