REPLACEMENT DRIVE UPGRADE FOR A DDW-813S

NEED TO REPLACE DVD DRIVE IN LITE ON LVC 9006. ANY GOOD SUGGESTIONS

Open the drive (dont break it). Eject the tray, under the tray you should see a small belt drive. Replace the belt with a rubberband of approximatly the same size (a little smaller wont hurt). Re-assemble the drive and it should eject fine. Lite-On drives seem to go through these belts pretty quick, I have fixed hundreds this way. Never had one I fixed come back for the same problem.

I have same problem like you, but I have changed the DDW-813s to a new Lite-On DH-20A4P, it work perfectly, good as new. but you have to make some changes to fix it to the place

I need to replace an optical reader board complete I think the part no. is: Liteon DDW-813S04C where can I buy one from?
Repair it??? An old 2005 DVD recorder that the replacement parts will run as much as the price of a new DVD recorder?? Not a good idea.

Dvd/cd drive will not open. model ddw-813s
This is simple.

Take a long needle [should be somewat long]
Below the tray there is small hole.
Insert the needle/ pointed object through it, n press in by applying some pressure.
The tray will now come out

Thats all

Lite on lvc 9006
I don't know if you have the manual for your unit. I found it on the Lite-On Tiwain site. I downloaded it and put it in a zip file and uploaded to a free download site. Here is the link:
