Make sure they are in MP3 format. If they are, you may need to reset the MP4 player to the factory setting by navigating to: Settings -> Default Set -> OK

Iq sound mp3 player IQ-8012 How do i download music and how do I record , How does it operate .?

It seems like the manual for this item its no longer available or just hard to find, knowing your waiting on a quick answer I decided to give you just that rather than searching google for you or asking you to do so.
Most Mp3/MP4 player from that time period required some type of software even tho they were suppose to be plug and play. you can simply plug the device into your computer usb port then navigate to my computer and look for a new drive added to you r list.(assuming your using windows) Double click that drive to open it and look for a directory labeled music or something in relation, if you do not see any folders inside the device just go ahead and select your music from your computer and drag and drop it onto the device. Even if its in the wrong folder the device usually will play it anyway. and if the device requires software then you will have to locate it before plugging it into thee computer. good luck

How do i download music to iq 8012 mp3

MP3 players can only play music files in mp3 file format. You can download mp3 music files from the Internet to your computer and then copy them to your MP3 player using the USB cable. For your CD collection, you need to convert your CDs to mp3 music files onto your computer or download them from the Internet and then copy them to your MP3 player after you have connected the USB cable to the MP3 player and the computer.
You can do this using Windows Media player and Rip the CDs - Media Player will create a MP3 music file for each music track. Click on this link for instruction on converting music files to mp3 file format :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r5798418-creating_transferring_mp3_music_files

Media player wont play files

When you connect the MP3 player to your computer with the supplied USB cable then computer detects the player as an external storage device or a Removable disk, you can then view the folder on your MP3 player. Open the music folder and create a new folder on the player exactly the same way you create a folder on your computer's hard drive. To organise your music, make a folder name with the name of the music album and place the album's MP3 files in this folder, then copy the mp3 files from the computer into this folder.
You will then be able to select the music you want to play by the music album folder. To delete a file from your MP3 player, connect the supplied USB cable to your player and then plug it into the USB port of your computer.
The computer will detect your player then click on this device to view the files, you can then click on the music file to highlight the file and then press the Del key to delete the file off your MP3 player. Check the specification of your MP3 player to determine the type of video file format it uses. Most common video files that MP3 players use are, AVI and WMV, there may be others such as FLV, MOV and DivX. If your player cannot play a video then it is an incompatible video file format, then you need to convert that video file to a format that your MP3 player uses. After video conversion then copy the video files to your MP3 player using the USB cable from your computer. Wont play the music

This may be caused due to damaged firmware but can be recovered by firmware upgrade. Click on the link given below to download the Firmware folder on your computer. When done, refer to file "procedure.doc", a Word file included in the Firmware folder, and follow the procedure to upgrade the Firmware of MP3 player. Download the Firmware folder at http://www.curtisint.com/html/custservice/manuals/CUR_MPS1015_FW-UPGRADE.ZIP
