Yeah plenty, on older rear projection t.v.'s the circuit boards tend to over heat as they get older. keep the t.v. off and unplugged. contact a local repair shop.

I have sound but no picture.

Check your signal source, if not then the tv will require repair. probably the vertical IC or flyback transformer. in any case it has to be done by an experienced technician.

Samsung HCN5529W 55in Rear Projection can't Perfect Focus

hello What you have is a convergence problem. There is 2 modules inside your set that aligns the colors to have the same geometry and superposed . It is a common problem in rear projection tvs ,
You don`t have to worry about your blue tube , i`m sure it is perfectly fine, it just needs to be aligned through the convergence circuit.
Most often the problem is with those convergence modules that are faulty and need to be replaced.
Hope this will help good luck

Samsung HCN5529W rear projection TV has no picture but has sound

More likely its one of the Video output ICs which are located on the three CRT drive boards. I have seen that happen when one of the ICs fail they are TDA6111Q heres what they look like they are attached to the aluminum heat sink on the drive board617d21d.jpg

Samsung HCN5529W television

There are 2 convergence IC's in the typical projection TV, and one of yours has burned out. If you have green sagging from the top then the convergence IC that handles Green Vertical (GV) needs to be replaced. The Samsung sets typically use the STK392-040 IC's. If you have no experience replacing convergence IC's then let a qualified tech change it for you.
