Hiii.....
If the power supply is supplying the main board with the correct amount of volts, your controller board or your on off switch panel is malfunctioning and needs to be replaced. If its the whole board your looking at a few hundred unless you can find the same tv with a broken screen and just swap parts. The on/off switch board is cheaper but you have to remove alot of interior parts to access and becomes a hastle.
thank u rate me!!!
You need to check the fuse initially if it is good .
Then next part is power supply board. There can be various reasons for shutoff. Bad soldering can cause this problem.
Power supply board replacement can be done by you if you have any previous experience in handling electronic items . Else leave it to
technican to do the replacement job.
New power supply board will solve your problem .
You can find parts from the link below
Parts for hitachi tv
Hope this helps .
A repair man is not needed but unless you are fully confident in your ability it is not really wise to want to cause further damage. I would still recommend locating the nearest service center and inquiring about an estimate. You can do that at this link.

Hi!
It is in self diagnostic mode. It has sensed a high voltage power failure and due to that it has entrred the diagnostic mode.
And to see what code it is,you have to active this function. First turn it off (master power on in stand-by) then on the plasma you push and hold the (sub) power button and the down arrow at the same time and hold them for 5 seconds after it comes on. this will activate a series of red LED flashing a code. The code will blink 1/2 second on, 1/2 second off till the total count is done then it will stop for 2 seconds and repeat. Any other function button will stop the diagostics. One blink maybe the Logic board, two blinks the X-Sus board, three blinks maybe the Y-Sus or the Scan driver module (SDM), four blinks maybe the X-Sus, Y-Sus, SDM or the Power Supply (PSU), five blinks maybe the ABUS, the Address driver module (ADM), or the PSU, six blinks maybe cause by the ADM temperature, and eight blinks maybe "all the above-mentioned boards.
lease revert for any clarifications.

The power supply is bad. Not the power cord, the supply inside of the TV itself. It is an electrical board.
If the set is not under warranty and you are confident, you can order the part and install it yourself. Otherwise you will need to call a repairman.
My advice, unplug the TV and do it yourself. If you feel that you cannot do it after having the part there, you still saved money by troubleshooting it yourself and you have the part already. Call a sericeman out and have him install the part.
That is the truth!

You may still have some warantee left, check prior to messing with it.
If its making a clicking sound and does not come on, it definitely the main fuse from the power supply. It is either burned due to power surge causing it to be opened. You need to replace that.

2 year old Hitachi plasma tv, model 55hds69 shut itself off and will not turn on. No blue power light, only red standby light. Tv will try to turn on but only clicks for a few seconds then nothing, no red stanby light when trying to turn on. Have had opinions from logic board to power supply to fuse on power supply. Can anyone second an opinion?
Thanks.
Any other solutions to 55hds69 Hitachi plasma not turning on, no blue power light, only red standby, clicking sound when tv tries to turn on.No warranty
Is a repairman needed for changing out the power supply?
Tried the diagnostic suggestion, no luck, nothing.
Wiil contact Hitachi again, when I first contacted them and they had no idea or suggestions.
Still looking for additional info.
Thanks for the great advice, all makes good sense, great link to parts supplier, parts priced 20% of what I was quoted locally.
