New install the track look crooked is this a protential problem

the spring could solve because right now your door will be coming down a little crooked jamming in track.

Hello there patsey! I've seen this many times before. It sounds like a window track problem. The window glass rides up and down inside the trackwork channels. Those channels sometimes bend or break and cause the window to run crooked. You wont really know for sure what the exact problem is until the inner door panel is removed so you can inspect it. Best case scenario is the track bolts have come loose and just need tightening ($50-$60 repair). Worse case scenario is that the entire window track or window regulator assembly needs replacing. This can sometimes run upwards of $200 or more. BTW, removal of the door panel just to inspect it should run no more than around $30- $40. Hope this helps.

Hello, never leave batteries in any electronic devise. Check the battery compartment for leaky batteries corrosive residue. Now, if the contact are corroded you'll need clean with small bass brush on a dermel drill or anyway you have. Also check where wires are connected and take very good look at the wires where the solder joints are. Batteries, especially Alkalide and some of the other types will have some - protential in a open loop. In other words, batteries will leak small amount of current in the existing wire and other components. Make it simple here. Everything that some sort of battery potential on it will act like a transmission line, releasen free electron...

Also,use some Radio Shack contact cleaner on the switches, and if the switches have any electron protential on them, they to will have some sort of corrosion. stewbison

are you talking about the window going crooked when lowering it if so then there is a clip that mounts to the side of the window that keeps it in the track so it won`t do this.they sometimes break and you can buy the part and install it just be careful when installing so the window won`t break.if its the track at the lower edge of the window this is a pressure/glue type fit and the track will need to be cleaned,pushed together a bit and use a window glue and install the window into the track and let it sit for a couple of hours before trying it.

Sounds like the window mechanisms need lubricating but for now get a lubricant from you parts store to lubricate the window channels that may do it. That lube will be colorless because trying to oil window channels will make a mess that is very hard to clean up.

Sounds like you need a new regulator, and lube the window tracks. If you are not familiar with how a window regulator works, get someone who is to do the repair.
