Error code 24:24 means that the sensors need to be replaced. This requires sending the printer back to MagiCard for them to replace the sensors.

SOURCE: Flipper Error

Hi There,

Can you let me know the error number?
It should look like '200:??' or similar. This number tells you exactly what was happening before the error occured.

Where exactly has the card stopped when you get the error?
Is the blank side facing up or down?

Here's a few things to check;

NOTE: Later models of the Tango 2 printer has a white Mylar shim fitted to the end of the platen (where it exits the print engine to the flipper unit. This is very easy to fit. Magicard can supply you with this if you need it. This shim prevented the card hitting the card front sensor when it was fed back to the platen from the flipper to print the card back.

Remove the square panel in front of the lid latch (it slides to the back and lifts out). Check that the Black rubber roller is in the center of the card path. Sometimes it can move to the left.

Turn the flipper round by hand. There is a white nylon roller on the underside. This is held against the Black rubber roller by a flat sprung metal plate. Sometimes the ends of the spring can distort if the flipper had two cards at the same time (check the thickness adjuster behind the Black cleaning cassette.

Lastly, is the front fascia in line with the printer's side panels? If the fascia is loose and is sitting higher, this can cause the flipper to jam (the card hits the card exit molding while flipping.

Make sure you have the latest firmware installed. The firmware version is displayed during boot up. It is also printed on the internal test card if you press the test button on the back.

Latest version is currently V2.05. You can download this here.

Let me know if any of the above helps.

Regards,

MC.

SOURCE: Card Jam 02:16 Error in Magicard Rio 2E Printer

Check the front rollers all turn when the cleaning button is pressed with the top open.
Check the front pinch rollers on the thin metal shafts are pulled down onto the cards by their springs. Check that the ends of the pinch roller shafts are retained in the plastic cam followers. The card is not being gripped to drive it back to print the Magenta panel.

Error code 24:06 magicard

Hi There,
General Error 24:06 may indicate a problem with the front card sensor (very rare though). Open the lid, remove the dye film. Check that there are no cards jammed near the front of the printer (just before the flipper unit).
Try unplugging the printer. Cancel all print jobs if any are pending.
Plug in the printer. Once initialised, open the lid, run through the cleaning sequence (a Magicard cleaning kit - 3633-0053 is required). If the problem persists even after cleaning, contact your Magicard dealer. The warranty status can be checked here;

Enter the serial number of your printer in the QuickSearch box (Menu -> Info -> Serial Number)

Hope this helps,

I have an hp laser jet color printer 4650n which is giving me a code of 49.4C02 service error

Printer error code "49.4c02" is one of them. It occurs when there is corrupted data. This may confuse the printer, and it stops functioning. In other cases, the data is corrupted while being transferred to the printer. Some printer models are naturally prone to this error because of their driver, while others can display this error while printing a specific font.fix printer error 49.4c02

The cards are sticking

Hi There,

Im_useless:
0.126 is not a Magicard error number. On a Rio 2 printer, the error number will be displayed on the LCD display. It should look like 02:?? or 04:??, etc.

Are the cards feeding out of the hopper?
How far into the printer have they gone before you get the error?
Are any of the dye film panels printed before the card gets stuck?
Are the cards ejected when you click on 'OK'?

Guest:
The most common reason for the dye film sticking to the cards are if they already have overcoat printed on them (you can not print over overcoat). Also, if you are printing very dense images, try selecting 'ColorSure' mode in the printing preferences, Try reducing the YMC printhead power in printing preferences.
