The installation guide, on page 3, says this cooktop can use up to 9700 watts. It also says to use #8AWG wire and a 40 amp 240 volt breaker. You can download the installation guide here:

316065306how many watts to run this range

Hello friend, thank you for your post!

I understand that you are searching for the wattage on your Frigidaire range. In order to provide you more information I would need to have your model number. You can locate your serial tag (which lists your model number) on the outside of your cooktop base possibly on the edge or bottom under the unit. Once I have that information I can further assist you. I look forward to your response. -Matt

No wattage given with electrical requirements for gas cook top

A gas range requires minimal electric current. "Any ole" circuit will do.

Installing JED8230ADB Cooktop Grill with down-draft exhaust

I can't imagine directing the downdraft vent back up to a traditional hood type system. Why bother, just don't use the downdraft or get a cooktop without a down draft and save money.

In granite, yes for any cooktop as long as someone can cut the correct size hole. Cooktops must be installed so the top is just about flush with the countertop. They all come with a template for cutting the right size hole in the countertop.
