FAX MACHINE WILL NOT PRINT OR MAKE COPIES. I GET BLANK PAGES ON EVERYTHING

Have you tried putting it through the cleaning cycle found in the list of options on the screen? Also, does the page come out blank for copies as well as printing?

You placed the document facing the wrong way when using the copier.
The other party placed the document in their fax machine the wrong way. Check with the other party (KX-MB781 only).

Try putting a page in and seeing if it copies blank and then putting it in the other direction. Have you had the same issue with printing?

If everything comes out blank it is the fuser or heating element.

You include no details about your fax machine.

However, Are your faxes from paper copies only? Do you have to print them out to fax them.?
IF SO.. then you should use a PC fax card, to fax directly from a PC. If you have hard copy only, then the addition of a scanner, with a document feeder to speed things up, will enable you to do same thing. Should be able to que up all the faxes and walk away.

This is a clogged print head. This happens if the printer has been off for a long time or if the cartridge was removed and the unit left empty for any time.
Take out the cartridge and press the print part on a piece of paper. Any black lines? If not, you will need a new cartridge. Wiping the print head gently with a Q-tip moistened with PURE alcohol (99%) may restore printing.

Compare print copy & photostated copy, is there any difference ?

what do you mean printing stage?for the blank pages,it may only require cleaning.check the toner save setting,make sure it is off.clean the scanner glass of the machine,or you may just need to replace the drum

remove the cartridge and using a damp cloth wipe the ink openings...this might fix the issue.

What happens when you print a report? Do you get print then? If you can print reports and then you get blank copies the problem is your scanner. If you can't print or copy, then the problem is in either the drum, I would say 30 percent, or laser probably 70 percent.
But we have to find out if it will print a report. Do you use the machine as a fax ? Do they print ok?

The machine told you poor line quality. Try a different phone line to verify. Try it at a friends house to verify it. If you are using Vonage, that is the problem. I have Vonage and every fax I test with has some issues with poor line.

When you say all other printing processes are ok, I am assuming you can make copies and print from the computer. If so...then are the blank faxes coming from several different fax machines or are they coming from one particular fax machine. If one particular fax machine, then the problem is probably on their end. I need to go backwards a second....when you receive a fax does the machine spit out a blank page or no paper is fed at all..it just receives the fax? Is the machine programmed to just receive faxes to memory to be printed out later? It doesn't make sense for it to print or copy but not to print a fax. If problem persist try a different fax modem.
