Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W30 Digital Camera
Here's the link for the user guide; http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/model-documents.pl?mdl=DSCW30®ion_id=1 Check page 92 for a description of all the reasons why it may be telling you to turn on and off - let me know which if you can figure that out from the manual. Check page 46/53 for details of the reset all function. what sort of memory card setup do you have? - probably unrelated, but sometimes memory card faults can make cybershots behave oddly. How old is the battery pack? - do you have any chance to try another battery pack (from a friend or in a store perhaps) to check if the problem is there? Sometimes a battery that appears to work can still have problems. Are you in a very humid environment? - try to keep the camera in an air-conditioned room or a slightly warm dry place for a couple of days, turn it on once or twice through the couple of days. see if that makes a difference. Have you dropped the camera or shaken it a lot - maybe rough roads? there could be a loose connection inside which needs reseating properly. Best done by a camera shop - they have the tools and shouldn't break anything else - at the same time they can check for any sand or grit inside, and if the lens mechanism needs lubricating. Hope this helps - please ask again if you get any more info :)
