Install mouse
most of the time, dell components (on a dell computer) will have the drivers pre-loaded on the system. follow the directions that should have come with the mouse for plugging in and synchronizing the component. Normally this involves plugging in the "connection" unit to a working USB port on your system and pressing the "sychronize" button on the unit. Make sure your mouse has good fresh batteries in it otherwise the sychronization will fail. You should get anywhere between 4 and 10 feet or range with your wireless mouse if it's operating correctly.
Also, if the drivers are NOT preloaded on the system, there should be a driver disc that came with the mouse, insert it and install the drivers for your mouse on your computer prior to following the above advice.
