Please check the voltage in Vcc pin of the vertical output IC. If it is higher than apropriate voltage, replace the filter capacitor in the DC supply line of the IC. This voltage comes from one of flyback transformer windings so you should look for its rectifier diode and capacitor near the transformer. If this voltage is correct, replace the electrolitic capacitors in the vertical circuit output and some 100/220nF poliester capacitors near the linearity pin of the IC.

Usually that is caused by a part failure. The vertical deflection ckt is most likely the roblem. Sometimes it's just a cap usually a 100mf right next to the vertical ic chip. Or it can be the ic itself. Unfortunately you can't adjust it out.

For how many years this TV with you? Most tv now a days after few years of using vertical IC solder started to dry(dry solder) you can try to re-solder or you may check also two capacitors (100uF/35V) for most JVC model has this symptom with this parts changes its electrical characteristics. If still problem persist replace vertical IC. Hope his helps, Good Luck

Is it just folded over with a thin line of light thru the middle of screen. It is a vertical collapse. Vertical Ic is loosing connection with the board or failing Already. resolder first then see if it can actually solve it. If not check capacitor or neighboring components within vertical circuit or replace the vertical IC and check if this solves the problem.

If your not inclened in electronics, have it service by a qualified one.

Is it folding to the middle screen? Then vertical IC is loosing connection to its board or capacitor is running dry or the IC itself is failing.

Resolder or replace. If you are not inclined in electronics have it service by a qualified one.

Is it like its vertical is folding over to the center of your screen? If this is it, vertical IC is loosing its connection to its board. Better to resolder it, or some component is going faulty within vertical circuit or the IC itself.
