I checked specs on that camera and the maximum memory card you can use is 512mb. if you get one that size you should have no errors anymore

The XP10 works with SD cards, 2GB or smaller, and SDHC cards, 4GB to 32GB. It will not work with 64GB SDXC cards.

What device are you putting the card into? Is it compatible with SDHC cards, or only with SD cards?

I have a SanDisk SDHC Card class 4 4 gb and it won't work in my Canon Power shot SD630, I get a memory error that says card is locked, however card is not locked, what camera canI use this card in?

The SD630 works with MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. It does not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

Your SDHC card can be used in any camera that accepts SDHC cards.

When I turn my camera on it reads "pictures will be recorded to built in memory". I have an SD ultra II 4.GB memory card inserted which I know isn't full. How do I get my camera to save to memory...

A card that size is actually an SDHC card. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different. Many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

I expect your camera just won't work with this kind of card. It is often difficult to find out the maximum capacity memory card a camera will use, as today's cards are much larger that those available when the manual for the camera was written.

Sandisk sdhc card 4gb my camera says "card error"

Remove the SD card from the camera. Slide the tiny switch on the side of the card to its other "unlocked" position. Reinsert the card in the camera. But if you've already tried this, see this link for additional things that you can try.

4 GB doesnt work

I believe this camera only supports SD/MMC cards, not SDHC cards. Go to the kodak site to see the detailed specs. Not all devices support SDHC - most new ones do - but some only support the older SD cards.

CoolPix 5000 "OUT OF MEMORY" message that we can't figure out

At 4GB size, your memory card is likely a SDHC card, and not a standard SD card. Although they look the same, there is a difference in formatting. Unfortunately your model camera was designed before the SDHC format came out, and it will not work with your camera. But fortunately standard SD cards are very inexpensive these days, and you should be able to purchase a good 2GB standard card for around $6 with shipping:

Can't format sdhc card in my camera.

Your camera will accept a maximum SD card capacity of 1GB. It simply isn't capable of handling anything of a larger capacity and in particular is incompatible with the more technically advanced SDHC cards.

Your fix is to either replace your camera with a later model or to stick to using SD cards with a maximum 1GB capacity.
