I have a tomtom 920, it will say the street name to turn on if set to do so & only then if using computer voices, not human voices. Tuning the wrong direction could be its wrong or its trying to take the fast route via a highway, longer route but get there faster
Unfortunately not on the average GPS of which TOMTOM is Some of the more expensive models allow you to do a street name search. Many of these types are those in expensive cars though Mercedes, Volvo, prius
It will only tell you the names of the streets if you use the COMPUTER voice. The other voices will not announce street names. So go to your voice selection and pick the computer voice...either male or female.
