Screen flashing The picture began to flash and turn on and off. Well, thanks for the response. I finally hoisted the TV off the wall and took it to the shop because mine never "warmed up" and flashed indefinitely. $400 later and with some board replaced... we're back in business. Next time... I'll probably shell out more $$ up front and get a TV that goes longer than 2 years before failing. Then again, maybe not.

I finally hoisted the TV off the wall and took it to the shop because this TV never "warmed up" such that the flashing went away. $400 later and with some board replaced... we're back in business.

Samsung HP-S4253x plasma TV flashing broad bright vertical orange bars and many pixels flashing green color

your Samsung TV is experiencing issues such as sound but no picture, you can reset it by unplugging it and holding the power button for 30 seconds. If you're having issues turning your TV on, you may need to unplug it for 30 seconds and plug it directly into an outlet that you know works properly. You can also try pressing and holding the power button on your remote until the TV turns off and on again. If the issue persists, please contact Samsung Support for further assistance. REFERENCES:

Maxent 42" Plasma TV takes 3 - 5 minutes to sync after turning on

I had the same issue....thankfully, I had purchased an extended warranty from Best Buy...I had been in a panic, because I NEVER thought I would pay a grand for a tv, but I LOVE it...anyway.....I had the "Geek Squad" come to look at the tv....the tech took 30 secs....there is a problem with your Y-SUS (Y-sustain board)...it will need to be replaced...and...the tech called another tech, and he advised that the Z-SUS be replaced as well (apparently he had to go back to the same home after a Y-SUS replacement to change out a failed Z-SuS).....retail on Y-SUS is about $300...ebay has them for less than half that, if you think you can do it yourself...keep in mind that "Maxent" is a Zenith/LG product, so finding parts might be a challenge if you base it upon Maxent....hope this helps!!

Flashing, slow startup, and finally, just snow

Try resoldering the pcb, especially the heat producing components on the pcb, do it with the crt base card too, I guess this will fix this up. Good luck.
