Im guessing since this is an in dash dvd player your trying to bypass the emergency brake so it will work with the vehicle in drive. If this is the case all you have to do is take the wire that goes to the emergency brake and ground it somewhere.
some radios are stupid and look only for a voltage on the pin and says yep the brake is on
some radios are clever and look for voltage on the brake pin and also the virecles speed ect
so i recomend that you first connect the brake pin on the radio to ground and test the radio if it doesnt work then conenct 12V to the pin and see if it works
i recomend that you get someone in the passengers seat and go out for a quick drive to make sure
my radio is the clever one and it knows when the car is moving or not
There should be an option on your head unit to turn safe mode off. If this fails, you need to trace the parking brake wire that runs from your head unit back to the parking brake switch and disconnect it. This is illegal in some contries and therefore not recommended.
To bypass the parking brake you should connect the parking brake wire from the unit to ground. It is better to do it via a switch because is illegal to watch video while you're driving. :)
It is both dangerous and illegal to watch video while driving. I don't think FixYa would endorse such hacks. Please understand this lock is provided for the safety of the driver, passengers in the car and other vehicles and pedestrians.
Sorry :(
How do I bypass the parking brake DVD defeat feature on the JVC KD AVX-44?
