Sounds like the network card has either malfunctioned and would need replaced, or the driver has gone corrupt. Try going to
"right click my computer, click properties, in the left pane choose device manager, then network adapters. Find your network adapter and right click and click "uninstall" Then reboot your computer. Your computer will find your network adapter driver upon reboot and it will reinstall it. Also try resetting your modem. If this all fails, I would say replace your network card. Hope this helps.

yeah ive tried uninstalling it some times, by downloading drivers from the HP site

  • Anonymous Feb 25, 2013

downloading and installing new drivers over old drivers is sometimes what makes the drivers go corrupt in the first place, uninstall the drivers competely using the method I described, and let the computer find its own drivers and reintall on bootup.

You only need to check the BIOS if you cant install the driver Make sure you Ethernet/internet is enabled in bios restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on your screen a certain key to press to enter set up (BIOS) press and hold that key to enter bios using arrow keys navigate to integrated peripherals look for SiS On Chip Pci Device press enter scroll to SiS 10/100m press enter make sure its "Enabled"

If are blaming the updates you can remove (uninstall) them. You can also restore your system to a point before the updates you think are causing the problem. If Windows finds updates you can select which to install. Reject all hardware related updates.

Cf t7 wont connect to wi fi

If you were able to connect that before then do a system restore. Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System Restore

Select a date before the problem occurred and launch it.

If you haven't tried connecting to the internet using that computer then you need to check if the driver is updated or not/if you have a driver for the network card.

I suggest you install RadarSync to help you find the update.

My dell d600 wont open web page but is connected to internet

Perform the Internet Explorer setup:

1- Open Internet Explorer and go to [Tools] and [Internet Options]
2- Click on "Connections" tab
3- Click on button that says "Setup" and follow the on-screen instructions

If the above doesn't work and your Internet Explorer worked in the last couple days, make sure your browser has not updated to the new Internet Explorer 8 version.
If you have another computer at this location, check if that one can connect to the internet and surf the web
If the above doesn't work (or is not available), your next option is to perform the "System Restore"
1- go to [Start], All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, System Restore
2- choose restore my computer to an earlier time and click next
3- choose a date when you last remember internet explorer working and on the window beside it (to the right) choose from the list either "system check point" or something that may be related to updates or Internet explorer (if nothing else, choose System check point)
4- Click next and after the restart, the computer will tell you if it restored successfully.
5- remember, you can only restore to the dates that are in "bold"

Let us know how it goes and rate us. :)

Wireless Connection failed

Did you make any hardware or software changes? You don't say.

Try seeing if your wireless radio is turned on. Most laptops have some kind of switch or Fn key combination that will turn off the wireless networking radio to save power. You might have inadvertently shut it off.

On the other hand, if it's a software thing and it only happened today, try using System Restore in Accessories --> System Tools and go back a day or two. If it's a software issue, that may resolve it.

Post back with any problems.
