We have a kitchenaid dishwasher, Superba, Model No. KUDC25CHWHI, the child lock will not turn off.  Not sure what prompted the dishwasher to put child lock into action.

Hold the button with the lock until the light turns off. Consult the manual.

Can you provide a model number?

Okay so I tried the 4 second hold down on the "Energy Saver Dry" Didn't work. I tried 20 seconds...Nope. I held it down for 1 full minute...Nothing. Finally I gave it one last shot before calling the Repair Man. I held the "Energy Saver Dry" and The "Cancel" Buttons down together for about a Minute. The "Child Lock" Light went out. I hit "Start" and WALLAH !!!!! It worked. Saved a few bucks by my determination...GOOD LUCK.

I have a KitchenAid Whisper Quiet Ultima Superba and the Child Lock came on flsshing. My model has no locks listed.

There are several touch pad buttons that could activate the Child Lock feature on a Kitchenaid dishwasher. To toggle off the lock, try pressing and holding the 4-hour delay dry or the energy saver dry key pads for 4+ seconds. The Energy Saver Dry is used for the Child Lock on the Kitchenaid KUDS25SHWH1. This manual is here: https://c.searspartsdirect.com/mmh/lis_pdf/OWNM/L9050329.pdf . The 4-hour delay or Control Lock options are listed in this manual: https://www.kitchenaid.com/content/dam/global/documents/201605/owners-manual-W10596243-RevD.pdf . If neither of these steps work, you may have a problem with the keypad, the wiring between the keypad and the control board or the control board itself.

Please add a comment with the model of the dishwasher if you'd like me to try and find the parts list/diagram. If the machine is under warranty, you may want to contact Kitchenaid.

I hope this helps.

My top drawer of kitchenaid dishwasher lock light is on. I can't get it off?

It's a child lock. To turn off the child lock on a Kitchen Aid dishwasher, locate the Energy Saver/Dry button. Press and hold this button for at least four seconds.

The child lock is stuck on my kitchenaid superba dishwasher

Locate the "Energy Saver/Dry" button on the dishwasher. The location of this button will be different depending upon the specific model number of the dishwasher, but should be easy to spot. If you have trouble finding it, you can check the diagram in the manual of your dishwasher for the exact location for your specific model.
Press and hold down this "Energy Saver/Dry" button for at least four seconds. Make sure that you do not release the button until at least 4 seconds have passed, otherwise the lock will not become disabled.
Check to make sure that the child lock indicator light has turned off. If this light is no longer on, this means you were successful at turning off the child lock. If the light is still on, repeat the process, but try to press and hold the "Energy Saver/Dry" button for a few seconds longer. If it still doesn't work, there may be a more complicated issue with your dishwasher. Consult your manual, or call to the manufacturer or repair man to determine if there is another problem with your dishwasher.

Bosch dishwasher lights turn off when running, but are on again when door opens SHV46C03UC/21 I replaced the control board with new OEM board last week, because heater relay was blown. Dishwasher now works fine and runs normal length of time. For this family of dishwashers, the buttons and red lights are on top of the door Bosch SHV46C family; full model name shown above. A thing I noticed is that the red wash indicator lights now turn off when I close the door and start DW running. When finished, no lights are on either. BUT, when I open the door at end the proper lights turn on again indicating dishes are clean and cycle that was selected. So, indicator lights are correct except they all turn off when DW running and door closed. With the original board, the indicator lights would stay on when running and I could see them. 1. Is this some change to the latest board that I just have to learn to live with? This DW was made ~19 years ago. 2. Or, is there a way I needed to program the replacement control board I installed to this specific model? Regarding #2, I'm asking this because I have read that some control boards need to be programmed to the certain Bosch model, but I'm not sure if this one needs it. I ran test mode for original and new board, and I think this new board passed because it did not show any error code with a solid indicator light, though one indicator light was flashing which I think just meant it was still in test mode until I powered it off. Thanks, Chris
