Do people still buy xylophones for kids? I want to get my nephew a gift for his first birthday but am not sure if it would be appropriate.

When I buy oversized gifts for my kids I don't even try and wrap them. What I do is buy a cheap mini version ie a small plastic hand size bike and wrap it up. You can tell them it's a clue....or you can give a clue as to where they will find the 'real' gift ie under the stairs or outside the front door.

I've found that this actually adds to the excitement and fun of opening presents.

when it rings is it your birthday? if so then thts the case cuz when its your birth day the opening ring sound high pitched
