Tv turns on then powers down

To reset a TV remote model TT-76, please follow these steps:
Remove the batteries from the remote control.Press and hold down any button on the remote control for about 5 seconds to discharge any remaining power.Release the button and then press and hold down the "Power" button on the remote control.While holding down the "Power" button, insert the batteries back into the remote control.Continue holding down the "Power" button for another 5 seconds.Release the "Power" button and then press the "Power" button again to turn on the remote control.The TV remote TT-76 should now be reset to its default settings.

This model was known for bad capacitors in the power board, have you tested them and or power supply voltages?

Try turnning your tv off, unplug unit from outlet, press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds, let go of power button, if plugged into surge protector try wall outlet, if plugged into wall outlet try a different outlet, power tv on using power button on tv. Did you have a storm in you're area?

The backlight video board have prob.must change to solved this prob.

Unplug it hold down the Channel Down button and the Volume Up button unplug it for 10 seconds then plug it back in and continue holding them down for another 10 seconds then release. I had the same issue and this fixed it now I have another though *~*

This is an on-going problem with DLP sets. Normally you shut the set off and the cooling fan cools the lamp down and then it shuts off. In your case, of which it's not your fault, however your lamp has taken a major hit by not properly cooling down, in turn, you need to replace your lamp at this time.
I suggest in the future if you have an electrical storm and a chance of a power outage while your watching tv, I would'nt play that model or any other model of a DLP set.

Disconnect the TV from the power line for at least 10 seconds. Plug it back in. Turn power on manuallly on tv (not remote control) If TV shuts down in about 3 sec. , your unit is equiped with a power failure detector function included in the CPU which checks for abnormal condition s in the power supplies, horiz, hold down circuits, ect. If you service it yourself follow procedure in the service manual (check www.free-service-manuals.com to see if you can get one for your model #. If you are not familiar with servicing TV's its time to take it to an authorized service shop A good reptuable service shop should be familiar with this problem and give you a quote before repair. You really should give make & model number when posting, it helps us immensely, your lamp and possibly the ballast is bad, start with a new lamp first, odds are very good that it will fix your problem, can`t help more without manufacturer and model number, good luck, ps, order the original lamp, generics are junk and a waste of your money.
