RCA Service Menu Instructions In order to access the service menu on your RCA TV you will need to have a remote, if your remote is lost or damaged we recommend that you purchase a Replacement Remote before trying to access the service menu on your set.
Method 1

1. Press the INPUT button on the remote.
2. Then press the 2, 5, 8, 0 buttons in quick succession.

Method 2

1. Press the MENU button on the remote.
2. Then press the 1, 1, 4, 7 buttons in quick succession.

The front panel control buttons should be checked. Contact any service technician.

Go to Menu see if it List Reset Factory settings.
Try with TV off/ Press and Hold ch- and vol- on TV.wait untill TV comes on release buttons and see if Service Menu comes up?

You will need an RCA Remote or Universal (RCA) may work. Once the Front Panel Assy. is locked the TV will only Power on with a remote. Call an Authorized RCA warranty service center, and offer to leave a deposit for the use of the remote. Power the TV on with the remote. Press Menu on remote. Press CH- (down) button on remote to highlight "Preferences". Press OK button to open menu. Press CH-(down) button to highlight "FPA Lock". Press Vol.+ button to turn off FPA Lock.Press Menu button to return to Main Menu. Press Menu button again to clear On Screen Display.

Use the CLEAR button / long press on the MENU button to toggle between user and svc menu. Press EXIT button to exit svc menu.

Turn on the TV

using original remote:


Bring up TV Main Menu and select option 7 (TV Guide Plus Menu)
Select option 1 (TV Guide Plus Setup)
Find the MENU, GO BACK and Input button on your remote
Press the MENU Button then immediately:
Press the GO BACK button then immediately:
Press the INPUT button.



Note: It is important to press the Menu, Go Back and Input buttons quickly (within a second of each other)

RTFM You need to press the play button to turn the unit on. Then the menu button works as advertised.
