How many times do this standby LED blinks at a time of switch on? These are fault indications. From the number of these blinks, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside. IF--- You have 3 video ics located on CRT broad # TDA6111Q ,if only one of them is shorted set will not come on these ics will kill the high voltage, there for keeping set off.

SOURCE: Sony shuts off after being turned on, stand by/timer light blinks
The blinking should be in a pattern of a count, pause, count. That is an indication of the problem circuit. Can you post that count please? That info will allow me to give you possible defective parts and costs for the repair.

There is a timer option programmed into your set. Check the timer setting in menu, under advanced settings

if it is continous blinking.........then you have a faulty jungle IC IC301,shorted to ground,IK video path is defected,............ hope this helped
