Insert actual key into lock and will unlock the door to open when opened pop hood and charge battery or boost to get started
Open the door manually with the key!
Many Ford Escapes have power door locks as standard equipment. This system consists of a lock switch, lock actuator and wiring harness. When you depress the lock switch, it sends an electronic signal through the harness to the actuator. The actuator moves an internal piston that either pulls the actuator hook down or pushes it up. The actuator hook connects to the lock rod, which either locks or unlocks the door, depending on which way you push the lock button. While this system won't work with a dead battery, the mechanical lock system remains unaffected by electrical power loss.
Insert the door lock key into the driver's door lock.
Turn the key counterclockwise one quarter turn.
Pull the door handle up until the Escape's door opens. Once the driver door is open, simply open the remaining doors by pulling the interior door handles until the doors open.

the plastic panel pops off , if you had a trim removal tool it would be nice but it can be improvised , they are just tension clips , get some kind of lever behind the panel and give it a pop , once the plastic panel is off its pretty much self explanatory from there , a connector and couple small bolts , now the outside has nut under the w/w blade , a piece of the arm cover pops up to access the nut , remove w/w arm , then a grommet and under the grommet is a bigger nut that helps hold the motor onto the door/hatch , when reinstalling before you put the w/w arm back on run the wiper and make sure it shuts off and in the park position . should be a piece of cake .

It is a 133mm rectifier with a motorcraft, The serpentine belt is better removed from the bottom. Also keep a bucket on hand to recover the oil from the transmission.

plug the lug wire (Bullet connector into the starter (Bullet connector) from relay and you should be set. the square thing is the starter relay and wehn you turn the key to start mode it powers the relay that then starts the motor. this is a safety feature so the starter don't get stuck trying to start the car all the time. If you need help post to this replay and if helpful please rate this answer.
Testimonial: "Good Answer but problem still not solved . I have done exactly as you have mentioned still does not start. Is it the relay not working ? "

I had same problem in varius trucks and motorhomes with the same engine size (460)and this is caused by excesive heat from the engine in all 460's,when hot if I stoped at a gas station to fill, once I tryed to start it again it felt like the battery was almost dead and bearly turned the engine over.what I did was that I added an after market engine oil cooler and that fixed the problem.
