Hello!
Your motherboard holds an AC'97 sound chip, so the standard drivers from Realtek should work just fine :)

Try running Microsoft update in custom mode, custom mode looks for hardware device drivers so you will have to look for any new hardware drivers and select them and then install them.
Also your sound may just be muted... go to control panel and then sound and check to make sure it is not muted if you dont have a volume control icon with a red dot on it next to your clock in the bottom right hand corner of your screen.

You will need to download the latest Windows XP driver. You can download this from the motherboard manufacturers website under the support section. All you will need to do is lookup your board model # and all available files & drivers will be listed for you. Hope this helps & please rate this solution fixya. Thanks.

yea, I got the same board, I stole it out of a compaq OEM box, Im trying to sell it with Windows XP Pro. SP2, 256 MB of RAM, and a 20 GB HDD, the woman won't call me back, and I cannot seem to find this sound driver, why does the world have to be so proprietary
