Maybe you have not got a right player program to play it. You can try Leawo Blu-ray Player which can play camcorder videos with ease.

You need to carryout the "finalize" process on the DVD using the camcoder before you can play the movies on any other device.

Cannot write dvd movie from handy cam to normal dvd

There is a free open source converter named super@. Download it here http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html. And to burn it to DVD use imgburn (also open source and free) and you can download it here. http://www.imgburn.com/. they are both excellent programs and absolutely free.

Cannot read the min handy cam dvds

The disc needs to be finalized before you play it on other equipment. But to do this will render the disk unusable- If you intend to record over it in time, So it is best to copy the info across to the PC- burn that to a disk and finalize it then most other DVD players[Not all] will run it.
