I have a kenmore 72990 top freezer refrigeator that freezes items that are in the back of the refrigerator. The freezer and refrigerator controls are set at the factory suggested settings.
Is this something that has just started happening? Most kenmore top freezers have a vent that allows cold air from the freezer into the refrig through a vent located on the back wall in the center of the refrig section. if packages are pushed up under this vent they can freeze.
If you have widespread freezing in the refrig setion then a temperature control could be the fault. thanks for using fixya. Peyton..

Turn off the cold controll and see if it stays goin. if it do stay going then bad control right?
