Can't hear When i use my headset on yahoo the person i am talking with can hear me but i cannot hear them. I can listen to music on my computer with the headset, so i know it works. What am i doing wrong???

Dan, You should be able to hear yourself inside your head as the small hairs that vibrate in fluid in your ear canal will pick up your vocalizations. In any case you know what you're saying and it shouldn't be a problem talking to someone.
Now if you're listening to music really loud on those headphones and still need to hear yourself think, I suggest you turn down the volume. :)

• well i had an experience the same as you before, i think it's defend to your headset if your using a bluetooth headset or a cabled headset because if your using bluetooth headset and you're walking while listening you will hear the music cutting
  

can you hear the incoming voice?or can you talk while call is coming?if no then there is a problem in your bluetooth.otherwise there is a problem from your phone check it first.best of luck.

If you cannot hear the other person then, your the speaker may not configured inSkype.
To configure thespeaker - Open Skype - Tools - Options -Audio Settings - Speakers select your audio card, check the volume slider THEN click on Save.

You are using one sound device at a time, this is not possible, if you like to be able to hear from headset and play music on your pc at a time, you must have a USB Amplifier and Headset (eg: GN Netcom, Avaya, etc...)

first you must set your Media Player's Option to Devices>Speakers>Audio device to use> DirectSound of your PC.

The other one is your are using a program to talk to other people, that program also has a feature to select the Audio devices to use, you must select that other device like my example above.

if have a camera already connect on your pc try to unplug the mike of your camera or go to the audio device manager and change the settings.

Check your headset if it is ok. Try to use your headset to listen to a regular music in your computer if you can hear something. Check also your sound setting if speaker are turn on. Or use regular speaker connected to the sound card speaker output.

Or ask him to check his/her mouthpiece if it is ok/ communicating.

try listening through the Microphone.
