A22m wont start

When i turn on the A22m i rarly get to the bios. It turns on, then freezes on a black screen. Accosionaly it gets to the bios but it rarly does. About a month ago i was installing xp and then it froze, its been doing it for quite a while. Please help!!!

It wont even get as far as a boot. It freezes before it loads the bios, if you get what i mean. It wont respond to any button i press. Littarly, it freezes the second it starts

I have tried it on an external monitor but it does not help!

Same problem here with a A22m,i got same problem to with A31 and i fix the A31 by leave the laptop without BIOS battery,and remove all hardware,like ram,HD,cd,ethernet card...and it take like 3 weeks without put eny hand on the laptop,just live it like that,i am doing the same now with a A22m i Hope it works.

Hi,
welcome to fixya,ok as u said that its been freezing up,and it is being freezing up all the time,what u have to have to do is that just run the scan of virus removal but u can log into the safe mode and then try and run virus scan and then try and turn on the computer and also try and do the msconfig and restart the computer from safe mode,it should work...goood luck...pls rate this solution....

I have IBM ThinkPad computer A22m 2628 and i have fogotten the BIOS password...how do i get it fixed

Remove the main battery and unplug the CMOS battery if you can get to it or you can try to hold the on/off button for about 30 seconds. This should reset the BIOS to factory defaults and you can then get back in and reset a new password.

IBM Thinkpad A22m works fine except it freezes every once in a while and you have to re-start it for it to work as it is non-responsive to to anything you do unless you do re-start it.....any...

check for virus threat.may be a virus .check also if it freezes at the same point and at the same timing.
may be bad sectors or may be corrupt OS

sounds like you need to reinstall windows, you may need a new hard drive

To start an ibm tnhikpàd a22m the pc do nothing, the screen turn to a black screen with a white lock, ask the supervisor or bios password, help

take it to a laptop repair person so they can get into it and reset the bios password. Usually envolves jumpers on the motherboard which is not an easy process in a laptop

Game display only occupies the center portion of monitor not full screen. Thinkpad A22m w/ windows xp home SP3. Can't get the game screen to display on the full monitor screen.

It is most likely that the game is unable to operate at the resolution that your screen is set at and is compensating by sizing the game window to the required size. You might change you display resolution to a lower setting.
